Fun Fact 🤯
The original name for Google was actually "Backrub". When Larry Page and Sergey Brin first started developing their search engine in 1996, they called it "Backrub" because their algorithm analyzed backlinks to rank web pages. However, they eventually changed the name to "Google", a play on the word "googol" which refers to the number 1 followed by 100 zeros, to reflect the massive amount of information they aimed to organize and make accessible to users. And the rest, as they say, is history!
