Italy has become the first Western country to block ChatGPT, the advanced chatbot created by OpenAI and backed by Microsoft, due to privacy concerns. The regulator also plans to investigate OpenAI for GDPR compliance. Other countries, including China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia, have already blocked ChatGPT.

Twitter's recommendation algorithm filters 500 million tweets daily to select top tweets for users. The algorithm has 3 main stages: candidate sourcing, ranking tweets with machine learning, and applying heuristics and filters. It has candidate sources like in and out-of-network sources, and uses scoring to predict relevance and rank tweets.
